About Us

We are Scott and Elaine Tomrell, founders of Home Watch of Walton Bay. We specialize in professional home watch services for absentee homeowners and homeowners who travel frequently.

Scott has been a business owner and, most recently, a retired quality control expert in the automotive industry. He developed a laser-focused, systematic skill set in both fields that allowed him to discover defects and generate quick, effective solutions. Elaine is a lifelong entrepreneur driven by a passion for serving her clients well, paying attention to the details, and doing things right, the first time.

We are full-time residents with three adult children. We have an active life and enjoy taking advantage of our beautiful surroundings, with plenty of biking, hiking, and kayaking. 

Many years before Home Watch Services became an industry, Elaine’s family could have used one! They had first-hand experience with the phrase, “An unoccupied home is a vulnerable home.” Her parents owned a second home in south Florida and arranged for their neighbors to check inside periodically. Subsequently, a leak went unnoticed. The next time the neighbor stopped in, the whole home had flooded. As you can imagine, water damage by itself is a problem, water sitting for days is a disaster!
